Remarkably Perky
For a group of people who have just lost their jobs a week before Christmas, we are a remarkably perky bunch. At least now we know what is going on.
My company is going out of business. It was announced at 10:30 this morning, and I'll be out the door shortly.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and all that.

I wouldn't say I had no idea. I knew it was a possibility, but I thought we'd have several more weeks. And I thought there was a possibility it could be turned around.
One of my now former coworkers wrote about it here.
It still sucks, though.
