Ready to Begin
There's so much I want to say, but I don't know where to begin.
The electric charge in the air.
How the whole office - no, the whole building - stopped, watched, cheered...then listened.
Tears in the eyes of women - and men.
This amazing sense of forward-thinking purpose - yet also knowing it's going to be very hard.
Wow.

A small group of us went to a colleague's house nearby to watch on a decently large screen. It is indeed thrilling. There is hope again. I am thrilled. I can finally exhale. And so it begins.
oh, and as I watched the SC justice (Stevens?) who administered the oath to Biden, I thought "Not a moment too soon." I wonder how many of those justices have been waiting to retire until after today. Phew.
Oh, I KNOW!
And Roberts - who never should have been confirmed in the first place and then was made Chief! - flubbing the oath.
oh my. Ted Kennedy collapsed at today's luncheon and was taken for medical care. At least he's made it this far. I'll continue to hope that he makes it further.
I heard that, too. Very distressing, indeed.
